UC Santa Barbara encourages all members of the campus community to promptly report incidents of discrimination and harassment prohibited by the UC’s Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Policy and/or the UC’s Anti-Discrimination Policies to the Title IX Compliance & Discrimination and Harassment Prevention (“TIX/DHP”) Office. Reporting to the TIX/DHP Office ensures that impacted parties receive information about support resources and their options for pursuing a response process through the University, while also providing the University with valuable information about the prevalence of these issues in the campus community, which helps to inform and further improve prevention and response efforts.
- If you have experienced prohibited conduct, you can find information about your reporting options and rights on the Reporting Options for Complainants page.
- If you have received information about prohibited conduct experienced by someone else, you can find information about how to help on the If Someone Reports to You page.
- If you are a UC employee and would like to learn more about your obligation to report information about TIXO prohibited conduct to the Title IX Office, visit the Mandatory Reporting for UC Employees page.
The University prohibits retaliation against any person who makes a report to the TIX/DHP Office or who is involved in a resolution process. If a person experiences retaliation, report this information to the TIX/DHP as soon as possible.
